Accessibility Statement

Our commitment to making EEA accessible to everyone.

Elliniki Engineering Academy is committed to making its services accessible to all members of the community, including people with disabilities. This statement applies to the eea.edu.gr website and to our Peania campus.

This Website

The EEA website is designed to substantially conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at the AA level. Specific measures we have taken include:

  • Sufficient text-background contrast across all main interface elements
  • Semantic HTML structure with clear heading hierarchy
  • Keyboard navigability of all interactive elements
  • Descriptive alt-text on informative images
  • Resizable text without breakage up to 200 %
  • Captioning of all video content (when present) in Greek and English

We are aware of the following limitations and are actively addressing them: the interactive embedded map and certain third-party PDF documents are not yet fully accessible. Accessible alternatives are available on request from access@eea.edu.gr.

Our Campus

The Peania campus is built to the post-2022 Greek accessibility code. Buildings A, B and C are step-free; lifts serve all upper floors. Accessible WCs are located on every floor. A wheelchair-accessible drop-off bay is at the main entrance, and four reserved accessible parking spaces are located in the visitor car park. The Onassis Library has two height-adjustable workstations and screen-reader software pre-installed.

The Mechatronics Hall has a small step at one entrance; a permanent ramp is scheduled for installation in summer 2026.
